Transitioning...In the Words of Soror Williams

"We find time for the things that are important to us..."

Joining an alumnae chapter was something I knew I wanted to make a priority.  I moved to Houston after graduation and spent my first year visiting chapters to see where I would fit the best before deciding to make HMAC my home.  Before we even became Deltas, we're all told that membership in Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a lifetime commitment.

Beyond upholding this commitment, joining an alumnae chapter has been a great way to connect to Sorors from my hometown and get to know my new city a little bit better.  It can be hard to feel like you don't have the time or money to dedicate to an alumnae chapter as a young professional or graduate student, but just like in our undergraduate chapters we find time for the things that are important to us.
